Leeds Tour, Day 2, Alwoodley – Monday 3 October 2022
The second day of our Leeds Tour took us to Alwoodley. The Individual competition on this challenging course was won by Richard Newport, becoming the Tour Champion
Leeds Tour, Day 1 Headingley – 2 October 2022
The first day proper of our Leeds Tour was at Headingley where we had a team competition
Society Day, Brampton Park – 8 September 2022
The second day of Open “tour” was a society day at Brampton Park. The announcement of the death of HM Queen Elizabeth rather overshadowed events but Harry Coe and Brian Smith ran out winners with 44 points
Fitz Open, Saffron Walden – 7 September 2022
The 2022 Open at Saffron Walden was a close run competition with Nigel Smethers emerging as this year’s Champion Golfer with 38 points
Fitz v Christ’s, Farnham – 10 August 2022
Fitz took on Christ’s in our annual match, this time at Farnham. Sadly, Christ’s ran out winners by 5 – in the pairs matchplay competition.
Fitz Local Plus, Cambridge Country Club – 21 June 2022
Taking advantage of vouchers, an extended Fitz Local took place at Cambridge Country Club (formerly Bourn). Jim Sleigh took first prize with 39 points.
Oxbridge Alumni Invitation Day, Berkhamsted – 8 June 2022
Our first Oxbridge Alumni Invitation Day saw teams from 11 Oxbridge colleges taking part in a pairs betterball competition plus an overall Varsity Match. Including Fitz players, 44 golfers took part – our biggest event ever!
South Coast Tour Day 2, Barton on Sea – 18 May 2022
Day 2 took us to Barton Sea, a lovely course, for the Tour Trophy competition. Andrew Garden won comfortably with 40 points with Martin Dinkele and Richard Newport on 36.
